Seoul XR Startups began with a narrower word.

At the time, virtual reality felt like a boundary.

That boundary did not last.

From VR to XR, without a reset

As augmented and mixed reality matured, the conversations changed.

Not abruptly, but gradually.

The shift was additive, not corrective.

What remained consistent

The focus stayed on people building.

Teams experimenting in public.

Small demos, early pilots, unfinished ideas.

This is not an accelerator

It does not invest.

It does not recruit.

It does not optimize outcomes

There are no applications.

No rankings.

Only observation and record.

Why Seoul remains in the name

Because ecosystems are local before they are global.

Language, policy, and proximity still matter.

Seoul is a reference point, not a boundary

Stories extend across Asia.

Sometimes further.
